This will be race #3 of a six race series. Byron usually opens at 8:00 AM with racing starting about 10:00 A.M.

Here is what we have to do to prepare for this race........NOTHING

Optomistically speaking it looks pretty good for Sunday. Weather.com is saying a "slight" chance of "isolated" thunderstorm. "Slight" and "Isolated" is what makes me optomistic about race day Sunday. There might be some clouds but the extended radar has the clouds just short of Byron. It may be hot. I recommend bringing a spray bottle of cold water to spray your face and head and stay cool. Loyd, Bob, Dave and myself did this at a very hot IMSM race and it cooled us down pretty good. Now it does nothing good for your hair but then Loyd, Bob, and Dave didn't seem to care about that.....

If you get there early I think we could get in up to three qualifying rounds. Only one qualifying round is necessary to race. Any Buicks coming to join the group and socialize and just run a few T&T runs for fun, you will have to run those T&T runs in the T&T lanes. Our qualifying runs places us on a sportsman ladder for competition. Only those racing in the club competition can run in the designated Buick club lanes.

Please try to pit together as this simplifies the day for the ageing race director so he doesn't have to run around looking for everybody..... Dave Leonhart has been promoted to Pit Director. He will determine the best area for us to pit when he gets there. When you get there look for his motorhome, he will have as much area as possible coned and taped off for us. Most likely areas will be either the southwest corner on the concrete or the east side of the track along Byrons alternate entrance and exit.

It's getting fun with points being so close. Some of us have to catch up and others have to keep those points accumulating. Don't forget about the "best Reaction Time" and "Run on Your Dial-in" during competition is still paying big money  for those who are still eligable. It's possible someone could win the triple crown this Sunday winning the race, the dial-in and reaction time! Is there someone good enough?......we'll see Sunday. 8) :D

A little warm, but really a blast with 11 racers prepared for the first round. There were as many Buicks at Byron as other cars total. Could have hot lapped all day like the little wheel standing brown primered Chevy II did.

Thanks Joe for setting these races up, had a blast
