1970 Skylark Vert/ GSX badging

Postby FauxFunGSX » Sat Jun 09, 2012 7:07 am

Hi All,

It is a rough day putting this post together, but it's time to post the Buick for sale. The reason for the sale is soley based on no time to enjoy (3 kids) and running out of space. I've had the car for 6 years. Having said that, I don't need to sell her. The guy I purchased it from got it at Volo and had it for over 10 years. My guess is it was refreshed on the frame about 20 years ago.

To my knowledge, this car has never seen rain or snow. It is stored indoors. It has been serviced annually by another board member. I always decribe her has a nice driver. If you want a car you can take to shows, run the kids around or go for a nice cruise - this is it.

What's great about this car - she fires up and runs fine everyday I have owned her, including after the winter nap. You can take this car anywhere, just drove back 4 hours from MI.

I am happy to answer any questions you might have. My plan is to post this on the Chicagoland site first, then V8Buick and then Craigslist. Please don't repost elsewhere.

I am located on the Northside and am listing the car for $16,000.

Thanks for looking - John

Just curious is your GS a 455?

Thanks for the reply.

It is a 455, and from what I'm told, an original 4 spd car, but it's not a 4 spd anymore.

Hi Steve,

Funny enough, my best friend in high school had a gold 72 stage 1 and that is what got me hooked on Buicks.

What color is yours?

It is blue. It needs paint and some body work.

Here is a couple pics.
